This time last year, Katie and I were driving to work. It was a typical hot and muggy Holy City morning, I was sitting at the red light on Dorchester road. I remember texting Katie, “we should apply to Mercy Ships” as nurses. Her immediate response “OMG, I was just thinking about that this morning on my way to work”. So, that week we applied. Submitted all the appropriate paperwork and got accepted to the talent pool. We were stoked! That same week, we decided to take the biggest leap of our lives to become Travel Nurses while wait to set sail for Senegal in a years time. Within a couple months, we put our notice at work, said goodbye to our closest friends and our beautiful family. One of the hardest things we have had to do. Fast forward one year, Senegal never worked out, but we found ourselves on the West Coast. In the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

This is the short and sweet version.

Katie and I are one of the most indecisive and introverted couples on the planet. Ask our friends! Taking this leap was HUGE! Charleston was all we knew. We slipped in that “comfort zone” most of us are familiar with. It’s easy, I get it! We are guilty of it still. We don’t want to leave the PNW, but it is time.

This website/blog has been created for us to share our experiences with friends, family, travel nurses, staff nurses, and like-minded people. Our goal is answer any questions for those interested in travel nursing, share our thoughts, experiences and journey with everyone. Every 3 months, we pack up and move somewhere else. Living a profesional nomadic lifestyle comes with its challenges, but I don’t think I would have it any other way.

I encourage all of you, in the lesser known words of one of my favorite artists David Le’aupepe “Do not Let Your Spirit Wane”
